10 Michigan Water Polo Association (MWPA) Athletes were named to the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) All-American Teams.
On the men's side, Hudsonville's Colin McDowell was named to the first team, Dexter keeper Tony Golin on the second team, Grand Haven's Thomas MacDonald made the fourth team, while Dexter's Sam Sterlitz was named to the honorable mention squad.
The women had six All-Americans, with East Grand Rapids' Claire Witting earning first team honors. Grandville goaltender Leah Green made the second team, while Ann Arbor Huron's Emma Kaipainen on third team. Hudsonville's Sofia Biriouk was named to the fourth team, while Rockford's Rylee Davis and Hotel/Okemos' Chloe Krumm made the honorable mention squad.
"This caps off what was a challenging but rewarding season," the Michigan Water Polo Association board said. "We are proud not just to have a few, but 10 total All-Americans amongst our group including two that are set to return next season. Congratulations to all on this major accomplishment."
