Portage Girls Hires Alum Samantha DeVries To Guide Muskies

Portage, Mich. - The Portage Girl's Water Polo team has announced the hiring of their new head coach, program alum Samantha DeVries.

"I am thrilled to be back at my alma mater coaching water polo where I first fell in love with the sport," DeVries said.

DeVries has a long track record of creating Water Polo growth in Michigan. She in fact helped start the girls program at both Portage and Grand Valley State University. She played her entire high school career for the Muskies and three more years at Grand Valley State.

Previously, DeVries also was an assistant coach at another young program, helping to guide Forest Hills.
